Is Christmas Christian?
Why We do Not Celebrate Christmas
Dear friends,
We would like to explain why we, as born again Christians, do not celebrate Christmas.
Our aim is not to spoil your fun, but explain to you the true history and uncover the subtle works of Satan.
Many of you will not be aware of the true story of Christmas. This is not about a baby in Bethlehem 2000 years ago, but it has a much more sinister history, that started long before Our Lord Jesus Christ was born in a stable to the Virgin Mary.
ChristMASS
To any protestant Christian, the word ‘mass’ should ring alarm bells. (Protestant in the wider sense meaning protester against the Catholic church). ‘Mass’ is a service celebrated by the Catholic church. It is similar to the breaking of bread and drinking of wine that The Lord Jesus told us to do in remembrance of Him at the Last Supper. The Catholic mass is so different to what Jesus actually taught that it is blasphemous.
In the mass the Catholic church teaches that the priest performs a magical act and the bread becomes the literal body of Jesus and the wine becomes the literal blood of Jesus. This is the continuation of an ancient pagan ritual which goes back to ancient Babylon / Egypt and the worship of the sun god Osiris. Egyptian priests would pray over the little wafers to ‘make them holy’ then tell the people that the wafer had turned into the flesh of the sun god. The people then ate their god. This is known as transubstantiation. They taught the people that this is how their souls were saved and it could only be done through the priest, (hence why Catholics today will bow down and worship a sunburst called the Eucharist, even as they worship Mary, which is idolatry). IHS sometimes imprinted on the wafer stands for Isis, Horus and Seb, Egyptian false gods; (beware of false definitions given for IHS to hide it's true identity). The Catholic church claims to re-crucify Christ in the mass, hence their crucifix, (Jesus still hanging on the cross).
The Lord Jesus said ‘do this in remembrance of me’ but the Catholic church says unless you believe that the wafer becomes the actual body / flesh of Jesus and the wine becomes His blood, then you are a heretic and should be put to death. From 1200 to 1808 AD about 68 million men, women and children were put to death by the Catholic church for being heretics. Under Mary Tudor (bloody Mary), a Catholic Queen of England 1553-1558, nearly 300 people where burnt at the stake in England, for heresy, including refusing to believe the doctrine of transubstantiation.
In Hebrews chapter 6 verse 6, God warns us through the apostle Paul that to crucify Christ again and again as takes place in the mass is blasphemy:
Hebrews 6 v 6b: seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
(Please read verses 4-6 to understand the context and it's seriousness)
The church today in general has forgotten this history, and not taught it to their children, so a generation has grown up not knowing the difference between the truth and a lie. They are happy to join in services with the Catholic church not realising it is the counterfeit church spoken of in the book of Revelation. Please note that the mass is one of many blasphemies to be found in the Roman Catholic Church.
ChristMASS is not called Christmas by accident it has a ‘mass’ in the name because it comes from the Catholic church. It is just one of the special ‘holy days’ they celebrate along with saint’s days and other such ‘special’ days.
The 25th March is celebrated by Roman Catholics as Lady-day. The day when Catholics believe the miraculous conception of Jesus took place. Pagans celebrate the same day in honour of the mother of the Babylonian messiah, and have done so long before the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to earth 2000 years ago.
Galatians Chapter 4 v 8-11
8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
Pagan Celebration.
Winter solstice, or the celebration of a festival in the middle of winter around the shortest day of the year, has been celebrated by pagan cultures all around the world all down through history.
It usually has some tradition related to the sun god or to the birth of a son from the Babylonian Queen of Heaven. Isis the Egyptian Queen of Heaven giving birth to her son on the 25th December is another variant. It is known as the feast of Baccus or Baal. Or the Roman feast of Saturn. The druids have their own festivals all with the same ideas, a goddess giving birth to a sun god.
Even witchcraft today celebrate it as a feast day as the birth of the sun god. They call it Yule.
All these various gods can be traced back to Nimrod and the stories related to him, which were later changed and added to. Nimrod is mentioned in the Bible in Genesis as a mighty hunter. He is a great, grandson of Noah through his son Ham (who Noah cursed after the flood - Genesis chapter 9 v 20-29) who begat Cush, who begat Nimrod. (See Genesis chapter 10 verse 1-10) Nimrod (Baal) became the most evil man of the early post flood era, who practised and taught devil worship, human sacrifice, infant sacrifice, sun worship etc. He built Babel but was put to death by Shem, a godly son of Noah. (There are many ancient sources for this information, see for example the book 'The Two Babylons' by Alexander Hislop.)
Whose Birthday?
The 25th of December is not the birthday of Our Lord Jesus Christ, but rather the day celebrated as the re-birth (reincarnation) of Nimrod.
We do not know the exact date of the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ, but it is very unlikely He was born on the 25th of December. It was not customary for shepherds in Judea to watch their flocks, in the open fields at night, later than October, as it was too cold. Please bear in mind that shepherds normally watch their flocks at night when it is lambing season, which is normally spring time, not the middle of winter. It is therefore very unlikely the Lord's birth was anywhere near December.
The Early Church.
The early church did not celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, and no where in the Bible does God tell us to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus.
The earliest records of the celebration of Christmas as the birth of Jesus Christ come from Rome in about the 4th century.
The Roman system took the worship of the pagan goddess and child and decided to rename them into Mary and Jesus, instead of the other various names they had for a mother and son in pagan worship. This then made the pagan festival acceptable to the counterfeit ‘Christian’ church in Rome.
Puritan Stance Against Christmas.
Down through the centuries the puritans in general stood up against these popish traditions, and in England in 1647 until 1660 under Oliver Cromwell, the celebration of Christmas was banned. In the past, in various parts of the United States of America, Christmas has also been banned.
Christmas Traditions.
Christmas Tree.
The tree is an integral part of the winter solstice celebrated by pagan cultures around the world. The Christmas tree was a common part of pagan Rome or pagan Egypt’s celebration of the 25th of December. Egypt used a palm tree and Rome used a fir tree, Egypt’s palm tree denoting the pagan messiah as Baal-Tamar and the fir referring to him as Baal-Berith. The mother of Adonis, the sun-god was mystically said to have been changed into a tree and when in that state to have brought forth her divine son. The Christmas tree is supposed to represent Nimrod the slain god come back to life again, the evergreen nature of the tree representing his so called everlasting power.
These traditions are found in many other ancient pagan cultures also, such as in Persian culture, a fir tree representing the divinity of the sun’s birthday.
Many Christmas tree decorations also have pagan roots, for example, gold and silver balls representing pagan sun and moon worship; the star or angel representing Satan or the high priestess of witchcraft Semiramis (both Nimrod's mother and wife!!!) etc.
When Christmas was made ‘Christian’, to try to hide it’s pagan origins, excuses and cover up stories were made about the Christmas tree to try to make it sound plausible to Christians.
What does the Bible have to say?
Jeremiah chapter 10
1 ¶ Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not
dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the
forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with
hammers, that it move not.
Decorations.
Decorations were just as much part of the celebrations of the winter solstice as the Christmas tree and were common place in ancient Egypt, Roman and Babylonian celebrations.
Presents.
The giving of gifts was part of the pagan festivals that took place at the winter solstice, whether it be ancient Roman, Babylonian, Egyptian festivals, or modern witchcraft.
(Note: this will also take place during the Great Tribulation of Revelation chapter 11 verse 10 in giving thanks to Satan for the death of God's two witnesses.)
'Santa' or 'Satan' Usurps the place of God.
James 1 v 17: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Satan / Santa: Notice the similarity in the name? Move the ‘n’ from the 5th letter to the 3rd letter and you get Satan instead of Santa - this is no accident. As with many Secret Societies, Witchcraft, Satanism, Freemasonry etc., the meaning of a word or a certain name, is often hidden by a secret code or in some cases by a simple mixing of letters. The reason why the church of Rome (Vatican) has promoted Santa as with Xmas and all that goes with it, is because the god she worships and serves is the god of this world – Satan. As was with Hitler and his top SS, the Vatican and her hierarchy are sworn Satanists who think nothing of human sacrifice and cannibalism (the eating of human flesh and drinking of human blood).
Santa or Father Christmas is a crafty take off of the true God and father of us all - 'Our Father which art in heaven'. The description of the Ancient of Days (God the Father) in Daniel 7 is strikingly similar to that attributed to Santa:
Daniel 7 v 9: I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit,
whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure
wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
Satan (Santa) therefore, as in Isaiah 14 v 12-14, claims the place of God the Father.
Further Notes:
Father Christmas is another name for Santa. The name itself again reveals the true nature. Jesus tells us to call no man ‘father’. (Matthew chapter 23 v 9) The word Christmas has already been explained above.
German pagan folklore related to the pagan holiday Yule believes a man / god called Odin went through the sky on a flying horse, children would place their boots or stockings near a chimney and he would place food or sweets in them. This figure became merged with Saint Nicolas, a Catholic ‘saint’ who was a bishop of Myra (modern day Turkey) in the 4th century who left secret gifts for people.
Please note that in other countries, the figure of Santa was also blended with local folklore. As an example of the still surviving pagan imagery, in Nordic countries, the original bringer of gifts at Christmas time was the Yule Goat, a somewhat startling figure with horns. In Witchcraft the Yule Goat equals Satan.
Many modern day parents now tell their children to put out a stocking on the evening of the 24th December when they go to bed, and when they wake up Santa will have come down their chimney and will have filled the stocking with presents. This is telling lies to children and that is not a good example to them. When they find out they may wonder why they were lied to.
Reasons Why Christians Celebrate Christmas.
1. Their Church Celebrates Christmas.
Much of what goes on in churches today is not backed up by biblical doctrine. Just because it goes on in the church does not mean God is pleased with it. The churches in general have become very much caught up with the works of the great whore of Babylon (the Roman Catholic church in the book of Revelation).
Revelation chapter 18.
1 ¶ And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven,
having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
2. They Do Not Want to Upset Family or Friends.
When we learnt about the history of Christmas and the origins of the associated traditions we had to make a decision. Do we celebrate Christmas or not? Do we partially go along with some of the more ‘Christian’ side of things and ignore the outright pagan bits? Or do we forget it all together; tell everyone we do not celebrate Christmas, stop sending cards, stop buying presents and stop setting 25th December aside as a special day / holiday.
We came to the conclusion the last option is the only one we can do. We know this has upset family and friends. But we have to do what God would have us do. We do not follow the traditions of men but the true and living God.
3. They Like Giving and Receiving Presents
It is very nice to give and receive presents but why would we want to do this on a pagan festival or on a Catholic feast day.
A lot of the giving and receiving of presents is not pleasing to God. Many are gimmicks of the world, that glorify the world, and indulge self, instead of God. Many of the presents bought are just a waste of money, which could be better spent on those who really need it, for example our poor brothers and sisters in other lands, who lack basic necessities such as food or clothing.
4. They Think it is Nice for the Children
Certain parts of Christmas can be very exciting for children especially the receiving of presents and having a happy family time together. But why does this need to be done on a pagan festival or catholic special mass day. We are supposed to be born again Christians not Pagans or Catholics.
For those who consider Santa a nice part of Christmas for children, not all children find visiting Santa a happy experience. Some children are frightened by Father Christmas, particularly when they are told to sit on his (a stranger’s knee). Some children also find Christmas pantomimes, and other such things, especially if they have witches or other such characters in them, frightening.
Telling children lies about Father Christmas is not nice for children. If we lie to children about that, they will wonder if we are lying to them about God.
Modern Christmas.
Christmas is Not a Happy Time for Everyone.
Not everyone finds modern Christmases a happy time. I was in a shop one day and a shop assistant (a lady in her twenties) asked if we were ready for Christmas, of which I replied “We do not celebrate Christmas”. Her reply was “I wish I did not celebrate Christmas.” The stress involved of getting the cards written, buying the presents, knowing her mum was going to get into debt to buy presents for her family, meant she wished she did not have to go through it all.
There is a lot of pressure for some people to make the one day that they have been building up to for weeks, the highlight of the year, and often some disappointment comes.
Many people find Christmas the hardest time of year for them, particularly those without family, whose family have died or have rejected them, or lost contact with them.
Many people suffer depression at Christmas and suicide rates increase after Christmas. A lot of people find Christmas a very stressful time of year.
Many people get into debt, which causes a downward spiral of anxiety and depression.
A Time of Partying
For many Christmas is just a time of partying, excessive alcohol, getting drunk and all the general wicked / godlessness that goes with such things. This is just a reflection of the original pagan festival. The Roman festival, 'the winter solstice' established by Julius Caesar, celebrated on the 25th December involved much drinking and merriment.
Summary.
We hope we have set out clearly the history of Christmas as an ancient Babylonian pagan festival, celebrated at the time of the winter solstice, which was then made to appear to be Christian by the Catholic church. All the traditions of Christmas have their origin in Paganism and Catholicism. The birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ did not occur of the 25th of December. No where in the Bible does it tell us to celebrate either the birth of Jesus, or the winter solstice. The Bible clearly tell us not to follow pagan practices or false traditions.
We hope this is helpful to you. Not so that you feel we are judging you, but just clearly setting out the historic roots of Christmas and why we, as born again Christians do not celebrate it.
Love in Gods great mercy towards us.

- 'and the hair of his head like the pure wool', as with Father Christmas, white.
- Note that the garments and throne / transportation (wheels – please read Ezekiel chapter 1) depict the two colours chosen to characterise Santa: White and red (fire).
- As revealed to us in James chapter 1 v 17, it is God the Father who is the giver of every good and perfect gift not Santa.
- The supposed omnipresence of Santa in delivering gifts worldwide instantaneously is an attribute which only God possesses.
- Please also note that in Zachariah chapter 2 v 6 (KJB) the words "Ho Ho" are spoken by God, exactly what Santa goes around saying today.
Satan (Santa) therefore, as in Isaiah 14 v 12-14, claims the place of God the Father.
